Open your eyes to the world of online marketing

Open your eyes to the world of online marketing

What is Internet MarketingTake a minute to think about how reliant we are on all of our senses. All five senses: sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing are all used in the simplest of tasks. Yet, we cannot deny that we seem to take the ability to use our senses for granted. I came across a very interesting concept, called “dialogue in the dark.” Dialogue in the dark” is an exhibition that takes away your sense of sight per se. The experience is in total darkness, led by blind or partially sighted guides, and one is forced to rely on all but one of your senses. The sudden withdrawal of sight causes one to be emotionally immersed and confronted with one’s own limits. Blind people are the “sighted” ones in this environment and can demonstrate their capabilities better than their sighted colleagues. This reversal of roles guarantees reflection, the discovery of the unseen and the need of communication and cohesion

This profound yet interesting concept got me to thinking. In so many ways, tackling online marketing is like going in blind. As a business owner you are blind to the actual inner workings of online marketing and must thus go in blind to make the best of it. I know my analogy seems a little profound in itself, but bear with me for a while.

When it comes to our own businesses we are experts in our own rights but when it comes to the marketing side of things, we seem to be a little less informed. Sure we all took Marketing 101 but no-one really taught us how to utalise Google marketing to its full potential, thus we are going in blind to the concept of online marketing. In turn we need to use our remaining 4 sense to optimise conversion.

Using our 4 remaining senses for conversion optimisation. Let Google Online marketing work for you.

Blind to Internet MarketingBy the majority of us being blind to Google online marketing we have to rely on our remaining 4 senses to conquer conversion optimisation. What is conversion you may ask? Well conversion in online marketing terms is the amount of casual views of a website that are turned into actual revenue/business.Successful conversions are dependent on the types of industry. Every web site needs to be designed with clear goals (or conversions) in mind.
Conversions take many forms and may include the following:
  • Sale – where the user purchases a product online using their credit card
  • Lead – where the user submits contact details and asks for more information
  • Sign up – where the user opts in for email marketing newsletters
  • Download – where the user downloads a file from the site

In order to optimise conversions you need to play to your consumers needs. You need to use your remaining senses to determine what exactly people are looking for and make sure that your website aka your landing page is an answer to those needs. Use your senses of touch, smell, taste and hearing to make sure consumers really SEE your website.
  • Listen to what people around you are saying. Find out: what is internet marketing to them? Find out what they are looking for.
  • Smell: Poke your nose into every business. Look at your competitors and what they are doing, there’s no harm in a little competitive Google Marketing.
  • Get into touch with how people want to have their needs met. Do they want to use shopping carts? Would they like a variety of options? How does the feel of your site appeal to your target market? You need to look into the type of Google marketing that will work for you.
  • Get a taste for how the successful businesses are doing it. It’s time to optimise your website for Google Marketing and we know just the way to do it.

Let an SEO company be your eyes to internet marketing

SEO CompanyWhen you hear terms like SEO and PPC you don’t initially think of conversion marketing, yet using an SEO company is vital for conversion optimization. Although conversion marketing is not technically part of internet marketing, these two concepts should be intertwined. The rationale behind this thinking is simple: what is the point of getting lots of traffic to your site if it doesn’t end up contributing financially to your business in the end. Ipcoweb is anSEO Company that offers FREE SEO tips in the form of FREE Google marketing workshops to help you learn about how to make Google work for you. Five important tips to allow you to be number one in Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing

We all want to be number one when it comes to Internet Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and PPC (Pay Per Click aka Google Ad words) but we all get lost in the jargon. I have often heard this wonderful phrase that I like to use, "paralysis by analysis"! People analyze everything to death if you consider that 99% of websites have overlooked the 5 basics of SEO.
They haven't bothered to understand the language involved, haven't bothered to speak to their customers and find out what it is that the customers wants, they haven't bothered to understand the process behind Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing. It takes 5 minutes to understand these things.
They would get 100% return on investment by asking a few simple questions. The concept is very simple:
1. Are you famous?
2. Do you know what you sell?
3. What you think Joe and Jane Public think you sell?
4. Where do you make your money?
5. What were your clietns looking for when they started searching for you?
If you can get these answers and then gain further insight into your clients, then these five important tips come to the fore and they really are, incredibly simple, if people would just pay attention to the basics.
Google is the biggest librarian in the world with a library of over 1 trillion books (Websites!), so you can appreciate, if you try to find something within the Google library, the librarian needs to go and find the book (Website), based on the wording of your question.
Google has made the rules very clear and basic. You follow the rules and Google will find or present your book to match the query of the request. If you don't follow the rules of Google then Google will not find or present your book, no matter how good the content. You need a good headline to grab the attention of Google.
If all of this is missing because you have not followed the rules allowing the librarian (Google) to find your book, then your well thought out and well-constructed content will remain invisible to those people searching for it.
As I said in the beginning you want your website on page 1 of Google
If you know what I think you sell, then create a headline that uses my language (Joe or Jane Public) and which excites me
  • · Put it in your title
  • · Put it in your headline
  • · Put it in the body
  • · Put it in the meta-data (where you provide information about your content)
  • Put it in your alt text atributes
Once you have figured out how and why your client wants to do business with you and what they are looking for, then you can start creating great content that people want to read. Unfortunately, most copy writers just don't get the picture.
The headline needs to be promising, exciting and attention grabbing. Much like this great, fantastic and awesome article that I have just created to help you! Yes, I am egotistical but that is beside the point, the fact still remains that you're reading this article because you want to be on page 1 of Google and you have no idea how to do get there!
So I say to you, build the perfectly optimized page and to build the perfectly optimized page, you need five things and five things only.
Once you have the answers, you then need to make sure that your title (this is the text that appears at the top of your website), has the question in it.
Then you need to make sure that the question is repeated again on the content on your webpage with an H1 (Heading).
You must write your content which must be original and a minimum of 500 words.
Not copied content from other websites, that's plagiarism not a good idea as Google will penalize you for that (you will lose your ranking)
This is really easy to do, all you have to do is read an article, think about the subject and then write about what is your field of understanding.
You need to verify that the URL, for example, http://www.yourco.com/article, matches the title.
If the title matches the H1 and the URL, then you're on the winning track.
It is then really simple, as all you have to do is make sure that you've mentioned the key phrase i.e. the great title, in your article at least five times, so Google can approve the simple five easy steps and get you to get you to the top of page 1 of Google.

What is SEO and how can an SEO company optimize MY business?

What is SEO and how can an SEO company optimize MY business?

I have always been one to consider myself quite tech savvy. I by no means mean that I’m going to be the next Steve Jobs, but I understand more than the basics when it comes to the internet. Like every other modern-day internet user, Google has come to the rescue on more than one occasion. Whether it’s helping in deciding what to cook for dinner that evening or helping you find the nearest garage to fix that now burst tire, Google seems to have become a lifeline that we’ve all become accustomed too.

What is SEO?However, amidst all my quick fix browsing, I never stepped back to wonder how exactly those 3 simple words that I type in bring up the exact results that I was looking for. Well, this is where my research started. Search engines apparently use algorithms to determine the pages displayed in their search results. In lay man’s terms, what that means is that a search engine looks at your query and searches through all its pages to see which page is most relevant and ranks them accordingly. There are certain features that each website must contain in order to achieve a higher ranking.

SEO is a mechanism by which your website is made search engine friendly. For the ordinary business owner (and the now apparently not so tech savvy plain Jane like me) SEO is a foreign concept that was not even considered when designing our websites.

So what is SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is where an SEO company comes into play. An SEO company makes your website search engine friendly so that you get higher rankings when a search engine looks for results and this will result in your website pages being presented to consumers.

So it is really that easy; by SEO’ing your website, your business ranks higher and in turn makes you more money. Sounds great but more of a “sit back and relax” then “divulge into it yourself” person?! – Then contact Ipcoweb to find out more. There’s no need to be tech savvy, just a simple mindset change to lateral thinking.

5 free SEO tips to improve your website.

We at Ipcoweb want to help you to make your website more IT savvy. Our free SEO tips are sure to help. When you are trying to learn: how to create a website or how to design a website, no-one ever coaches you on how to SEO your website.

  2. Use Titles on EVERY page: Use unique titles for each page and avoid using symbols such as * / & @ in these titles.
  3. Host your website on a South African Domain - .co.za
  4. Use Headers: Use the formatting buttons at the top of Microsoft Word (H1 and H2) to indicate importance and highlight services you which to emphasise.
  5. Avoid using Flash: Flash is invisible to Google

What is internet marketing and does it really add value to my business?

What is Internet MarketingWell now that I’ve figured out about SEO and how to SEO, I have realised that I don’t actually know about the core foundation of it all i.e. what is internet marketing? What is internet marketing and how do internet marketing and SEO tie in together?!
Internet marketing is referred to as the marketing or promotion of products or services over the Internet. This is considered to be broad in scope because not only does it refer to marketing on the Internet, but also includes marketing done via e-mail and wireless media.

There are three types of internet marketing:
  • Pay per click or PPC
  • Search engine optimization or SEO
  • Social media marketing i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc.

We are all tired of IT consulting companies making false promises that they can’t deliver on. Let Ipcoweb optimize your website to let it work in only a positive way for you. Get with the times, make sure you really are tech savvy; contact us today for all your SEO requirements.

SEO vs SEM

In this Video , we talk about the difference between SEO(Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) as well as the pro's and cons of either..

SEO is Optimizing your website for Organic search results..This means you are not paying for direct Advertising but instead you are engineering your website through SEO techniques.

SEM is paid advertising..It is effetive as a short-term strategy, when your website needs a boost, but you have to remember:when your money runs out, your advertisement disappears.

SEO may take a little more time and effort  to  generate results, but these results are more substantial and reliable long term...
